Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup unsalted Butter

7 cups Flour

4 Tbsp Baking Powder

1 1/2 tsp salt (omit if you are using salted butter)

2 Tbsp Sugar or Honey

3 1/4 cups Buttermilk (if you use regular milk use 3 cups, you can add juice from half a lemon if you want to give it a buttermilk response to the baking powder, yum)

Method:

You want cold butter and cold milk, you want the dough to have a marbling effect with the butter as you roll it out.  First cut the butter into little cubes, mix the dry ingredients together and cut the butter into it.  Once the dough resembles very course sand add the milk and mix until barely combined. Flour your rolling surface, roll out dough to 1 inch in thickness and cut with a cup or circle cutter.  Bake for 20 minutes at 425 degrees F.
