So I learned to make my own maple syrup at my Sister-in-laws parents house. It is so easy and so much better than anything you can buy at the store. In the spice section at the store you find maple flavoring, I just get the cheapest imitation maple flavoring that I can find.
1 C. Boiling water
2 C. Granulated sugar
1 t. Maple flavoring
Heat the water to boiling on the stove or in the microwave. Add the sugar and maple flavoring and stir until dissolved. I saved an old Mrs. Butterworths bottle and I pour the leftover syrup in the bottle for later use. You just heat and enjoy. Warm syrup is the best!!!
